He was one of the co-founders, with Shanta Driver, of the radical group BAMN. Massie was the national co-chair of BAMN in the mid 2000s. Like Driver, Massie was also a member of the Marxist Revolutionary Workers League. The Revolutionary Workers League allegedly had ties to the pedophile organization North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA). Massie was arrested at a 1998 Michigan riot. In 2020, Massie was accused of pulling a switch-blade knife on a civil rights leader in a Detroit public building.
