Neil Lawrence was a student at Berkeley in 2017 and is "a Jewish anarchist drag queen with no eyebrows" who claimed to have helped organize the black bloc that shut down Milo Yiannopoulos' event on February first of that year. In an op-ed for The Daily Californian titled “Black bloc did what campus should have” that “On the afternoon of Feb. 1, a few friends and I met up with many other small groups of friends. We gathered off campus, distributed flags, wrote the National Lawyers Guild number on each others’ arms and helped each other make sure our faces were properly covered. Then we started marching.” Lawrence went on to admit that he followed through with his veiled threats against Milo admitting that "when I went out to make good on my promise to revoke Yiannopoulos’ gay card, I wore black and covered my face." and claimed that when they attacked the building and people waiting to get it it wasn't an act of violence but of "self defense." Despite admitting in an op-ed to participation in and organizing the premeditated terrorist attack, Lawrence was never held accountable by local law enforcement. Rt. Rev. Shannon Sherwood Johnston (DOB: 10/20/58) was an organizer and leader of the clergy at the Unite the Right counter-protest. He was the Episcopalian bishop of Virginia at the time. This brings up the question, "What's the proper color of vestments to wear to a riot?". Black, I suppose. He apparently doesn't tolerate dissent very well. He co-authored a letter that said, "In our judgment, therefore, the Church cannot remain silent in the face of those who seek to foment division.” An Episcopalian bishop participating in a violent Antifa protest is not so surprising given that an Episcopal parish in Portland hosted a Antifa day camp known as "Budding Roses" several years ago. A sitting bishop probably isn't Antifa but the clergy at Charlottesville gave legitimacy to the violent counter-protest and at times were on the front lines.
