Lisa Anne Herbold (DOB: 06/14/67) a far left-wing Democratic Seattle City Council member who was spotted at the CHAZ/CHOP insurrection / secession in 2020. Herbold claimed that Seattle was "collectively" responsible for the violence at CHAZ/CHOP. She also claimed that riot damage was caused by SPD's overreaction to "peaceful" protests. In 2020 she suggested that SPD lay-off officers based on race with white officers fired first regardless of seniority. In the same year she introduced a city ordinance that would allow criminal defendants to use mental illness, poverty and addiction as defenses to misdemeanor offenses (but not domestic violence cases).
