Grant T. Barnes (born June '82) was a member of the radical environmental group Earth Liberation Front (ELF) who torched seven SUVs in the Denver suburb of Cherry Creek in 2007. Barnes has a biology degree but, presumably because of his felonies, has to work at a local hippy grocery store. Kellen Michael Sorber, AKA "van Gogh", (DOB: 05/02/91) was convicted of an arson at the Albany County Republican Party Headquarters in Laramie, Wyoming in 2018. The building had an occupied residence on the 2nd floor but Sober didn't care. He claimed his action was a spur of the moment decision based on his politics. He was nabbed by the FBI partially due to DNA evidence from a cigarette found at the site. Meyerhoff also took part in the 1998 arson at the Vail ski resort. He later plead guilty in a cooperating plea agreement and admitted to making the devices that started the fires. The total damage from arsons that Meyerhoff participated in is estimated at $40 mil. After his group disbanded in the early 2000s, he studied engineering in Virginia, presumably to learn to make better bombs. Meyerhoff was eventually sentenced to 13 years in the pen and was released in 2015. He still has a Federal tax lien under the Anti-Terrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act of 1996 in the amount of $17.8 mil. It's gonna take a long time to pay that off!
